March Giveaway Alert and Things I’m Looking Forward to Along with New Makeup Feature (With Your Contribution)!

For starters, I’m looking forward to the upcoming spring season and ready to pack my winter clothes away so I can start wearing bright colors because this spring, bold bright colors are everywhere!  Shoes, accessories, clothes, makeup, you name it!

For any Madonna fans out there, her new album is expected to launch at the end of the month (March 26th to be exact, that’s what I heard so far) and I’m ecstatic!  Besides being my all time favorite artist, she is one of the few people that I will actually go and buy her CD on opening day.  (Her and Britney Spears.  Other than that, I don’t really buy CD’s anymore)!  I thought it would be cool to share a single from her upcoming album here:

On top of that, tickets for her upcoming tour this year have already started to go on sale and I’m going to be seeing her in Phoenix, Arizona with my wonderful aunt in October!  We are going to have a blast, I cannot wait!  I’m also excited to plan another trip out to Arizona this year!!!

Anyhow, enough about that, let’s get back to fashion and makeup. ;)  So I am always thinking of new ideas and features that will most benefit my readers.  I thought it would be cool to have a feature where I’m given a makeup image (from a current magazine ad, a look that a celebrity is wearing, etc.) and then I’ll re-create the look and explain the products I used.

For this month, I’m going to incorporate it as a way to enter this month’s giveaway.  This month, I want people to send me images of makeup they really like or something they’d always want to do themselves but just don’t know how to go about it and send it my way!  I will choose one look to be re-created and post it on my blog at the end of the month!

December [Surprise Gift] Giveaway Alert and New Lip Feature Coming Soon

Although it may not be snowing just yet or you may not live in a place where it snows, you will definitely find it snowing everyday in the month of December throughout my blog!  (Got to love the visual effects! Thanks to WordPress)!  ;)

As I mentioned in the beginning of November, this is also going to be a very busy (in other words stressful) month for me so my free time is very limited to blog this month.  I was also not feeling well and although I have gotten much better since then, I am now dealing with an allergic reaction to a medication that is definitely taking a toll on my body.  It’s times like these that I need to stay positive and stay strong!

I have been thinking a lot about new features and thought it would be great to create a feature with a focus on lip products.  Specifically, I’d like to share the lip products I’m currently wearing and the combinations that I come up with.  I own a ton of lip products (and still find a way to purchase new ones), so why not share with everyone what I like to wear??

August Giveaway Alert, More Home Decor, and a New Season of Project Runway

Welcome back everyone and cheers to the beginning of a new month.  This is a very busy month for me so I don’t know how often I’ll be able to blog, but I can promise you that I am dedicated to providing new material and sharing my love for style/makeup with the free time that I have!  Thanks for your consistent loyalty and if you’re new, a warm welcome as always!

This weekend, I will be throwing my first makeup launch party featuring a fall collection I created myself.  By that I mean, I created the shades (using GIELLA custom blend cosmetics) and came up with the names for each product.  It will feature lip glosses, lipsticks, and nail polishes.  I’m very excited to share the collection and will be posting photos from the event along with the products I created!  Very exciting!

I don’t have any new features this month, although I will be sharing more blogs regarding home decor (as this is another passion of mine) and possibly more about health/fitness (as I’m really into this too and this goes hand-in-hand with beauty in my opinion).

Speaking of home decor, I wanted to share this beautiful piece I picked up at HomeGoods yesterday for my bedroom:

I have the perfect spot for this to go too and a space I’ve been waiting to fill for quite some time, was just waiting on the right piece!  She kind of looks like me too!  Arched brows, full lips, almond eyes, side swept bangs…the only difference is, I never throw my hair up like that.  I guess for the right occasion I would!

Also, for all you Project Runway fans out there…a new season officially started last week and sadly, I have yet to watch it!  I haven’t had the free time to watch, but when I do, I plan on blogging about it every week!

July Giveaway Alert and Exciting NEW Style & Makeup Features Coming EVERY Week!

Why hello!  Thanks for your patience everyone on my intro post for the month.  This time of year is always busy for me and I’m finally getting an opportunity to finish up this post along with this month’s giveaway.

Can I first start off by saying that I cannot believe we are half way through the year already!  (Where does the time go?!)  I think it’s a great time to reflect on the year thus far and I have to say that this year has been exceptionally amazing in all aspects of my life (such as professionally, health/fitness, personal relationships, and more).  The best thing is, I feel that it is getting better each and every day!  I hope everyone feels the same way and if you don’t, there is still plenty of time to make it a good year!  So set the bar high and stay positive! ;)

On top of that, I want to take the time to thank my readers (new and old) for reading my blog!  I truly enjoying blogging and it’s an even more rewarding experience knowing people really learn a lot and get inspiration from it each and every day.  

In the month of June, I want to highlight that my blog statistics hit OVER 50,000 hits!  That is pretty amazing!

Sooo…every month I try to come up with new features and this month I have 2 exciting features that I’m going to try to keep up WEEKLY.  Meaning every week you can count on these features, so let me go ahead and share them with you!

[Stylish Picks of the Week]:  Every week, I will put together a small image collage of an outfit I created.  I’ll discuss my thoughts behind the look and mention any trends that go along with it.

[Look at Meli's Makeup]:  Every week, I want to take the time to capture a makeup I created on myself and share with you a photo of the look along with a brief run-down of the products I used.  I really also want to take the opportunity to be even more creative with my makeup choices as a source of inspiration for all of you!

PS- I started at the end of June to really update my Facebook Fanpage.  Definitely check it out regularly as I will post makeup that I have done for clients and other things!  And if you haven’t already, be sure to “like” the page!  (THANK YOU)!

Facebook Updates Coming Soon!  This month, I want to work on updating my Facebook page more frequently (it’s been forever since I posted on there).  As you can see, I have a Facebook fan page and don’t currently utilize it, but that is about to change very shortly.  I have come up with some ideas of ways to update my page and now it’s just a matter of maintaining it on a more frequent basis!
