The New Face of Royalty – Kate Middleton and A Look at Her Beautiful Engagement Ring

Kate Middleton - I love this photo of her, the entire look is stunning.

It’s been made official that Kate Middleton is Prince Williams fiance and they are expected to wed in spring of next year.  They have been together for about eight years and became engaged during a recent vacation in Kenya.

As for her engagement ring, it is an oval blue 18-carat sapphire ring encircled by 14 diamonds.  It is actually Princess Diana‘s engagement ring and he wanted to pass it to Kate, as it is very special to him and it’s his way of including his mother in this moment of his life.

The ring is eye-catching and has a unique style.  I love when an engagement ring includes other stones rather than just traditional diamonds.

According to UsMagazine.com, the ring is estimated to be worth $150,000.  Back in February 1981 when Prince Charles proposed, this same ring was priced at $65,000.

Is “Cyber Monday” the New Black Friday?

Although Black Friday is considered the biggest shopping day of the year, I have to admit that I am NOT a Black Friday shopper.  I don’t care if they are giving stuff away, the thought of camping outside a store and waiting on excessively long lines does not appeal to me.

So, if you missed out on the Black Friday shopping experience or still looking for more amazing deals (who’s not?), then let me introduce you to “Cyber Monday.” Cyber Monday takes place the Monday after Thanksgiving and is strictly for online shoppers looking for spectacular savings on just about everything.  This online shopping trend has been around since 2005 and is expected to spike online retailer business significantly.  I’ve read that about 90% of online retailers will be participating in Cyber Monday by offering free shipping and other fantastic deals.

A lot of websites will be begin their sales campaign at midnight, but some have already begun their deals today, such as Arden B:

This is the first year that I will be a Cyber Monday shopper.  Besides hearing the buzz from people I know, my inbox has been flooded incessantly via Blackberry throughout the day with notifications from my favorite online shops to check out all their deals.  I love shopping online and look forward to seeing everything that Cyber Monday has to offer this year!

Nicki Minaj’s “Pink 4 Friday” lipstick Already Sold Out at MAC

Nicki Minaj personally designed a limited edition lipstick for MAC, "Pink 4 Friday" in celebration of her new album, Pink Friday.

Today, is the first day that Nicki Minaj’s lipstick for MAC, “Pink 4 Friday” has been released on MAC online and it appears to already be sold out. I definitely wanted to order this myself, but I am not too worried as it will be released the following three Fridays in a row after today.  A total of four Fridays, hence the name, “Pink 4 Friday.”  To be exact, check back at MAC on:  December 3rd, 10th, 17th.  It is an ONLINE exclusive only and cannot be purchased at a freestanding MAC location. It’s also already sold out on MACPro.  I knew this was going to be an instant sell-out and it is a beautiful color!  I look forward to adding this into my lipstick collection sometime in the upcoming weeks!

“Tassles, Feathers, and Fur! Oh My!” – Winter’s Coolest Trends

Here is a collection I created to showcase some of winter’s “coolest” trends.  I love playing with textures in fashion, especially with tassles, feathers, and fur.  These design elements are not only strikingly stylish, but also have a delicate touch.  My favorite piece of fashion eye candy?  The black fur cuffed boots scream fashion statement and sing along, “one of these days these boots are going to walk all over you…Are you ready boots, start walking!” ;)  However, I must say, I love it all!

What Every Girl Needs…A Little Black Clutch

I know they always say that a girl should have a little black dress in her wardrobe, but there is no denying that every girl needs a LBC as well!  Little Black Clutch that is!  I fell in love with this striking black leather clutch and had to buy it because it is truly a fashion staple.  If I go out, I do not always want to bring a handbag with me, but I also do not want to carry my wallet, phone, and keys separately.  As for wristlets, they are usually way too small to carry all my going out essentials.  (My wallet itself is pretty hefty). Hence why a little black clutch is an essential!

The styling details of this clutch are incredible.  I love the stitch detailing along the sides and the chain weave design on the front flap.  It also came with a thin chain strap in case I want to wear it as a crossbody, which is definitely a styling bonus.  (A hands-free option is always a convenience)!  This clutch completes any look and adds instant style to an outfit.  I can’t wait to start rocking this!
